Note: This print was issued to accompany the issue of the United Nations adhesive stamps for International Volunteer Day, on the 6th May 1988. We have seen postal envelopes bearing 6 stamps, one of which, is our stamp, signed by the artist. Haring designed these postal envelopes for the issue of these stamps which were franked by the United Nations, as “First Day Covers” - to raise funds. The postal envelope showed the image of our lithograph, besides the adhesive stamps themselves. We have not seen before an example of our lithograph to which an adhesive stamp is attached and franked. We believe this to be a very rare “Official Issue” and desirable therefore.
