A large image with wonderful presence, Venice, Afternoon was created by British colorist, Howard Hodgkin in 1995 as a hand-painted etching and aquatint with carborundum on 16 sheets of Velin Arches paper. Hand-monogrammed, dated and numbered in pencil by the artist, the artwork measures 63 x 77 ½ in (160 x 196.5 cm), unframed and is from the edition of 60 as issued.
