Note historique et bibliographique : L'artiste, décédé avant la parution de l'album, n'a pu signer les épreuves. Son épouse, Nadia Léger a suivi l'achèvement des tirages et a signé les "bons à tirer". Les lithographies de l'album portent le cachet officiel de la signature de F. Léger.

29 ORIGINAL COLOR LITHOGRAPHS, EACH NUMBERED 102/180 AND SIGNED WITH THE INK STAMP OF FERNAND LÉGER.
Edition of 200 copies (180 + 20 HC), this one bears the number 102 in the colophon.
Description : The album "LA VILLE" (The City) is a suite of 29 lithograph in color by Fernand Leger featuring scenes of people, life and emotions of Paris. The artist started the project in 1954 but unfortunately passed away in the summer of 1955. His wife, Nadia Leger, along with Fernand Mourlot and the publisher Teriade completed the project and it was printed and edited in 1959, four years after the artist's death.
The edition is composed of 180 numbered proofs with the signature stamp on the below right of each plate.
This one is numbered 102/180 in pencil and signed with the official stamp.
