La composition originale de Picasso (gouache et collages) a été reportée sur pierre par Henri Deschamps qui était le lithographe officiel de l'artiste chez Mourlot dans les années cinquante.

Affiche créée pour la parution du volume de Verve n°29-30 en 1954 (Tériade, éditions de la Revue Verve) : ce célèbre numéro est illustré de 180 dessins reproduits en héliogravure et de 12 lithographies hors texte en couleurs composées spécialement par Picasso.

Très rare en parfait état, comme ici, jamais encadrée ni exposée à la lumière.

English : Picasso made the original gouache with typographic collage especially for the edition of Verve 29/30 in 1953.
This work was put on stone by Henri Deschamps and Fernand Mourlot for the title page of the book (there is also a limited edition on Arches paper, 38,0 x 27,0 cm / 15.0 x 10.6 in) AND the poster here (60,7 x 39,6 cm / 23.9 x 15.6 in). There is also a deluxe edition on Arches paper (150, signed by Picasso) that I offer too.
The work is in Czwiklitzer 89 (Picasso Posters catalogue raisonné).
This is the original regular lithographic poster edition of 1953 printed by Mourlot under the supervision of Picasso (1000 ex and 150 Arches mostly signed in pencil).
The piece is in perfect condition, mint, never framed. Very scarce in this condition.
