Note:
'Committee 2000' exemplifies Andy Warhol's contemporary interpretation of the conventional still life genre. Through its colours, the brilliant blue, purple, and vibrant hot pink hues, the artwork establishes an extraordinary composition. The use of highly saturated colors is minimal in this print, while the exaggerated outlines of the subject create a sense of dynamic movement. One can almost envision the glass tipping over with the other two precariously wobbling. This artwork evokes themes of glamour and excess, reminiscent of Warhol's life at The Factory and Studio 54, where such elements were commonly associated with his persona.
