En 2002, Bourgeois destiló sus recuerdos y emociones sobre el río y el jardín en un libro único de tela titulado "Ode a la Bièvre". En el libro rememora "en la tierra de este río plantábamos geranios, montones de peonias, y camas de espárragos... y madreselvas que olían tan dulce con la lluvia." Usando su propia ropa como materia prima para hacer collages de ropa cosida, evoca sentimientos y recuerdos a través de las líneas, formas y colores.
In 2002, Bourgeois would distill her emotions and memories of the river and the garden ODE À LA BIÈVRE. In the book she reminisces through images and text, "With the soil from that river we planted geraniums, masses of peonies,and beds of asparagus ... and honeysuckle that smelled so sweet in the rain." Using her own garments as raw material to make sewn fabric collages, she evoked feelings and memories through lines,shapes and colors.
